NOTICE OF INDEPENDENT CONTRACT The Iron County Children's Justice Center (ICCJC) is seeking qualified mental health providers to contract with to provide trauma therapy to children and teens 17 years old and younger. The clients referred to providers through the ICCJC are victims of child physical or sexual abuse, or a critical witness to a crime such as domestic violence. Current contracted amount is $80.00 per therapy session - No benefits provided - This is a contracted position only. NOTE: This service is paid for through the Federal VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) grant and is only available as funding allows. Sessions funded by VOCA grants through the ICCJC are to be used as short-term, interim funding ( approximately 16 sessions ) meant to fill a gap between other funding sources such as insurance, Medicaid, or Crime Victim Reparations (through the Ut ah Office for Victims of Crime) . These are 50 minute sessions with 10 minutes for charting . M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Must be able to pass a fingerprint-based background check and have the results on record with ICCJC (repeated every 5 years, at the expense of the p rovider). All clinicians must maintain active licensure with DOPL at all times during the length of our contract; acceptable forms of licensure are as follows: LCSW, CSW, CSWi , CMHC, ACMHC, LMFT, ALMFT, Psychologist. All clinicians must have a master's degree. All clinicians referred to will have an active UDOPL mental health provider license on file with the ICCJC AND documentation of 40 contact hours in training and consultation in TFCBT, PCIT, AFCBT, CFTSI, and EMDR on file with the ICCJC. All providers are required to maintain and produce a copy of the training certificate (s) and evidence of supplemented contact hours in the event they completed a training program that included fewer than 40 hours. Have training in an evidence-based trauma modality (see below) and at some point during the t erm, complete a minimum of 40 contact hours in training and consultation calls to deliver an evidence-supported mental health treatment to children who have experienced trauma from abuse. Specific evidence-based trauma training recognized by the National Children's Alliance ("NCA") is required. Modalities include, but are not limited to: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ("TF-CBT"), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy ("PCIT"), Alternatives for Families: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ("AF-CBT"), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ("EMDR"), Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention ("CFTSI"), and Child Parent Psychotherapy ("CPP") . These modalities shall be used to treat IC CJC referral clients who have experienced child abuse. Complete at least 8 continuing education hours every two years in the field of (1) child abuse, (2) trauma, (3) clinical practice and/or (4) cultural applications. Evidence of completion must be provided. All clinicians must be prepared and have adequate education to serve our client population ages 17 years old and younger . Provider must have their own private practice and office space and not be reliant upon the ICCJC as their sole source of clientele.
