Mental Health Clinician - ACT About River Edge Behavioral Health Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge continues to be one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) is a highly intensive, outreached based, out of clinic, service provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Population targeted is individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness and most have a co-occurring diagnosis of substance abuse. These are individuals who do not and will not come into the clinic setting for traditional treatment. The ACT Team takes the treatment services to them in their homes, shelters, sidewalks, etc. ACT is available 24 hours/7days a week to individuals through an on-call rotation among ACT team members. Services will be provided afterhours and on weekends. Services provided to Baldwin and Bibb counties. River Edge is currently looking for a Licensed or Associate Licensed (Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor) to serve as the Assistant Lead for our ACT Team. Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience working with individuals with a serious persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring substance abuse within a multidisciplinary team. Previous case management experience, to include experience with documentation, managing a case load, conducting assessments, and providing brief interventions. If selected for interview, please bring a copy of your professional license , driver's license, social security card, highest level of education (transcripts and degree) and names of three references to the appointment. All applicants must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test. This position is subject to close at any time once a satisfactory applicant pool has been identified.
