The LSCU & Affiliates represents over 300 credit unions and provides advocacy and regulatory information; education and training; cooperative initiatives; media relations, and business solutions to support its member credit unions in fulfilling their mission of 'People Helping People.' A Member Engagement Consultant will maneuver the day-to-day interaction with credit unions in our tri-state area, strengthening relationships with member and non-member credit unions to aide in the small credit union program. Understanding the challenges facing credit unions and finding meaningful solutions is a key component for this role. Maintaining a strong knowledge base of credit union issues, financial performance data, and LSCU & Affiliates programs, products, and services is a must. We provide a structured and organized 120-day training plan to get you up to speed on credit union issues, so you'll be prepared to succeed as a Member Engagement Consultant. You will work in conjunction with the Vice President of Member Engagement to promote growth in our membership , including face-to-face meetings with non-affiliated credit unions and associate members in your assigned area, attending chapters meetings and young professionals' group to strategies for professional development and community projects. As a Member Engagement Consultant, you will serve as a liaison to our member credit unions and facilitate planning sessions, conducting trainings for credit union boards, while communicating Association sponsored events. You will research, develop, and refine solutions, such as development opportunities, resources, and other programs to better serve our membership. Member Engagement Consultants will promote our products and services to generate leads and provide referrals to appropriate Business Development Consultants. You will also provide support to the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation fundraising projects. What you need to be qualified for this job: (see full job description attached) High school diploma or equivalent. Four years' experience in a communications, marketing, or non-profit association position. Financial services experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge and understanding of history, development, and philosophy of credit union movement. Work Schedule: You will travel extensively throughout South Georgia, South Alabama, and the Panhandle area of Florida primarily by car and occasionally by plane. This position is fully remote with the flexibility to set your own schedule to align with credit union needs. Due to the amount of travel involved, r elocating to the tri-state region will be needed for this position as well as a v alid driver's license.
