Title: Medical Scribe Employment Type: Full Time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM City: Moline State: Illinois We care about our employees! Position Responsibilities: Following the physician into the exam room and documenting the patient's exam, physician's interpretations, and treatment plans in an accurate and efficient manner Typing physician's notes from patient exams into the patient's electronic medical record Entering the patient's medical history in the electronic medical record post exam Preparing the patient's records for the next office visit Helping the clinic team with any additional duties that may be necessary while in clinic Understanding and applying Meaningful Use in everyday practices Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent is required Previous medical assisting or transcription experience is required One year of medical scribe experience is preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and staff Strong typing skills Knowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Record Must be able to stand for extended periods Ability to travel to all ORA locations ORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy and outpatient surgery.
