Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory TechnicianQualifications: MLT: Associate degree in science required. Board of Registry MLT(ASCP) certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Membership and active participation in professional organization desirable. Previous experience is preferred. Must demonstrate competence in BLS within 6 months in position by obtaining certification. MLS: Bachelor's degree in science required. Board of Registry MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Membership and active participation in professional organization desirable. Previous experience is preferred. Must demonstrate competence in BLS within 6 months in position by obtaining certification.Pay Rate: Pay is based on previous experience, base rate starts at $20.80 (MLT) $24.50 (MLS)Expected date job will be filled: ASAPFTE Status: 0.7 FTE (56 hours in a 2 week pay period)Shifts: Sunday - Saturday with holidaysThis position reports to the Laboratory Director and is responsible for performing all routine and complex Lab tests. With adequate orientation and supervision, performs more complex lab tests. Confirms and verifies results using knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments. Correlates and interpret results based on knowledge of physiological conditions. Monitors Q.A. procedures within preset parameters.
