Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical ICU (Salem, VA) Competitive salary ranging from $32.11 (entry level) to $45.87 (20-year experience) $15,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment; $2,500 relocation assistance Shift differentials: $3 for weekends, $4 for nights Join our healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Salem, VA. We are actively seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our 29-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Position Title: RN Medical ICU - Salem, VA Position Type: Permanent, Contingent S hifts: Days & Nights (7-7) Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical ICU. Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. Maintain strong clinical judgment and adhere to established policies, ensuring patient confidentiality. Coordinate care plans with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Qualifications: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia or multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification (required) Minimum of 1 year hospital experience, preferably in Med Surg Additional Information: Fast-paced 29-bed Medical ICU with ventilated tracheostomy patients Stroke-designated unit specializing in neurologic problems Supportive environment promoting educational opportunities and specialty certification Competitive salary ranging from $32.11 (entry level) to $45.87 (20-year experience) $15,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment; $2,500 relocation assistance Shift differentials: $3 for weekends, $4 for nights Special Program: We're also inviting candidates for our ICU training program starting 9/18. This is a paid 10-week accelerated program. Candidates with a minimum of 6 months RN experience are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year commitment.
