Description:
Valley Clinics is looking to hire another part-time Medical Coding/Billing Specialist! We are looking for someone who is: CPC Certified, preferably from AAPC. Familiar with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding within a Primary Care Setting Comfortable with answering phone calls as well as making phone calls to patients and insurance companies. Familiar with payer policies regarding coding requirements. Team Player Role and responsibilities: Some of your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following: Review progress notes and code according to various payer rules and services rendered Reviewing aging claims and reaching out to the payer to status of processing Reviewing and correcting denied claims Follow up with Clinicians on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear Work in partnership with our quality team to ensure quality metrics are captured at claim level Answer incoming calls from patients and insurance companies Cross train within department to provide coverage when necessary. Required Skills Prepare and submit accurate medical insurance claims to various insurance companies in a timely manner Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate billing Record and post payments received from patients and insurance companies Monitor unpaid claims and follow up with insurance companies for resolution Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance claims Responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing files, including both Type I and Type II files Maintain working knowledge of and comply with partner specific credentialing and recredentialing guidelines, policies, and procedures Required Skills: Must be CPC certified, and able to provide documentation on certification Minimum 1 year of clinic coding experience CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS Knowledge Billing knowledge with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Short & Long Term Disability Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401K with employer match Pay Range: $23.00-$26.00 an hourPowered by JazzHR
