We at Sobe Rehab, are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing, timely submission of electronic and/or paper claims, monitoring claim status, researching rejections and denials, documenting related account activities, posting adjustments and collections of Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and patient statements. The medical billing and collection specialist must possess critical thinking skills and understanding of Medicare eligibility requirements. In addition, the medical billing and collection specialist must demonstrate proficiency with billing system to ensure all functionality is utilized for the utmost efficient processing of claims.Your role is to collaborate with all staff to solve any workflow issues. Create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. A successful Medical Billing Specialist should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle duties. Responsibilities Responsible for charge and payment entry within Electronic Health Record. Coordinates and clarifies with providers, when necessary, on information that seems incomplete or is lacking for proper account / claim adjudication Identify trends, and carrier issues relating to billing and reimbursements. Report findings to Team Lead and/or Supervisor Responsible for correcting, completing, and processing claims for all payer codes Analyze and interpret that claims are accurately Maintain patient confidence and protects medical office operations by keeping patient information confidential Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the department's ability to meet its objectives Demonstrate respect toward fellow employees to insure a professional, responsible and courteous environment Perform other duties as assigned to support Sobe Rehab Billings Mission, Vision, and Values. Customer service driven Understanding of medical terminology and insurance laws/guidelines Communicate with billing and credentialing coordinator to identify and resolve audit review issues Answer/respond to correspondence related to patient accounts. Is available to answer billing and changes related inquiries by patients, staffs, Managed Care Organization, etc. Work closely with billing and insurances to ensure thorough RCM Coordinate with IT department on EMR issues Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time Process weekly reports Create and reinforce company culture initiatives Handle technological issues to the best of your ability. Be able to find solutions independently Support upper management Be a visionary around processes and procedures, innovate and create new ideas. Skills Proven experience in Medical Billing and/or Coding: 2+ year (Required) Raintree- EMR experience 1+years Physical therapy clinic experience is a plus Previous experience in a medical office setting and/or experience with Raintree Electronic Medical Record a plus Health insurances/Medicare knowledgeable Self-motivated Strong team player Managerial mindset with the ability to treat other employees as professionals and adults, providing constructive feedback when necessary. Constructive conflict resolution skills Creativity in task completion The ability to connect with others with empathy Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular) Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers) Familiarity with email scheduling tools Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements Medical Billing and/or Coding Certification (Required) High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus Schedule: 8 hour shift-9AM-5PM Day shift Monday to Friday Pay range: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
