TOTAL VASCULAR CARE 215 N SAN SABA, STE 201, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78207 MEDICAL ASSISTANT- PART TIME Total Vascular Care, a Texas Licensed, AAAHC accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center, has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Medical Assistant . We are looking for an individual who enjoys working and collaborating along side a group of professional, experienced, and compassionate Health Care Professionals. We provide outpatient surgical procedures mostly in dialysis access planning and maintenance and PAD/ PVD. Perks and Benefits - No on-call hours, no weekends, Closed on Major Holidays Qualified candidates must possess the following: High School Diploma or equivalent (Medical Assistant diploma preferred) Customer service and service recovery experience. Bi-lingual in Spanish required Must be BLS certified or obtain it within 30 days of job offer Minimum Requirements Mandatory participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 vaccination program is required for all Health Care Personnel. Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program Bilingual English/Spanish Job Responsibilities May include, but are limited to: Assist medical / surgical staff with basic patient care to ambulatory surgical patients. May identify and greet patient, escort patient to pre-op / post-op, verify purpose of visit, take, and record vital signs, observe, record and report patient condition, and medication reconciliation. May operate or assist in operating various mechanical devices, transport patient via wheelchair or stretcher, hoyer lift within the surgery center. Assemble medical record according to facility standard. Preparing Patients for Surgical Procedures Taking Medical Histories Assisting the RNs with certain procedures or patient requests Conducting patient call-backs and documenting patient concerns/complaints Patient teaching upon discharge and escorting to vehicle Perform bay turnovers Other duties, as assigned Job Posted by ApplicantPro
