This position is responsible for the management and delegation all MA responsibilities and ensures efficient patient flow along with patient satisfaction. The Medical Assistant Lead oversees that all MA responsibilities are done effectively and within the guidelines of MPHC. This position requires a significant amount of independent judgment. Essential Functions Performs all the essential functions of a MA I, II, and III. Oversees and manages the clinical workflow ensuring timely completion of all MA tasks. Responds to all codes. Responsible for timely, efficient, and safe completion of triage messages. Performs/delegates checking and documentation of emergency equipment. Ensures compliance with all checking and documentation of CLIA waived testing and sterilization equipment. Identifies any new equipment needs and requests these from the supervisor; reports and facilitates repairs of equipment. Prepares staff schedules to provide adequate cover including contingency planning for staff absence. Delegates assignments and communicates to the supervisor of any staffing concerns. Maintains clinical supplies, medications and immunizations inventory, and par-levels. Completes the MA Lead's daily/weekly checklist of tasks given by the supervisor which is adapted according to the needs of the department. Responsible for maintaining the clinical area looking professional, clean, stocked, and organized. Utilizes methods to increase provider efficiency, continuity of care, and access for patients. Works as a part of the leadership team for the Department/facility collaborating with the (CSR Leads) and supervisor to improve customer service, quality of care, and make suggestions for process improvements. Be a coach/mentor/resource for CSRs in the absence of the CSR Lead. Facilitates communication between CSRs/MAs, providers and supervisor. Assists in resolution of patient complaints either independently or with the assistance of a supervisor. Responsible for completing all administrative projects assigned by the supervisor of the department. Assists in facilitation of staff meetings, huddles. Ensures the successful completion of training and continual improvement of performance and skills of all MA functions in accordance with MPHC standards. Assists in obtaining patient satisfaction surveys and implements patient satisfaction improvement processes. Participates in clinical quality improvement initiatives. Performs weekly performance audits to improve MAs of the department. Provides feedback to ensure performance improvements. Resolves conflicts between staff members with the assistance of the supervisor as needed; keeping the supervisor fully informed of staff issues. Consistent, reliable in-person attendance is required. Other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Electronic Health Record experience At least six months of MA III experience Medical Assistant Certificate At least three years of Medical Assistant experience front and back office; one year for an internal candidate Current CPR certification Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of previous customer service experience RMA/CMA certification PDN-9bc95d68-02c8-4401-8481-308c760369e3
