CareSTL Health is currently seeking energetic, diligent, and hard-working Medical Assistant I join our team! JOB DUTIES: Answer phones, retrieve voice messages, answer emails and other communications, sort faxes, and scan loose sheets and tasks to the provider. Verify patient demographics Verify insurance coverage for each procedure and visit type Schedule appointments accurately to be in alignment with Health Center protocol Perform all other related assigned duties Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience: 1-2 yrs of experience working in a Community Health Center/or physician office setting preferred Transportation Requirement: Must have reliable transportation Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post and annual screening(s) Copy of High School Diploma or GED Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year.
