The Abbington at Murray is looking for a qualified MedTech to join our wonderful care team. We are currently hiring for a morning (0600-1400) MedTech, Monday-Friday inour Memory Care Unit.What is a Med-tech? Medtech is an essential role in this community. Their main responsibility is administering medications to the residents, under the direction of a licensed nurse (RN). To qualify for this position you must do a minimum of 3 days with a current med-tech, and pass a medication written test provided by the nurse. After you have completed these requirements the nurse will then watch you actively pass medications. They could include but are not limited to PRN medications (as needed), narcotic medications, and daily medications. Description of Job The Medication Technician is responsible for documenting, delivering, and administering medicines to residents as prescribed by a physician(s) with superior customer service and following all policies, procedures, government regulations, and guidelines. Assist residents with their daily medications, treatments, and resident care as assigned and with the scope of practice, policy and procedures, and government regulations. Observe, verify and document that medication is administered as directed. Notify the supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and document the reason(s) why. Maintain clear, accurate, complete, and confidential records on resident medication and care by established procedures and governing requirements. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
