Salary: $70,000 - 75,000/year Explore your tasks and responsibilities Assists in performing engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities. Assists in preparation of mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team Works closely in coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/License/Registration/Certification Years of Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred Experience in the life sciences industry 1+ years of experience Powered by JazzHR
