Learn more at www.cretexmedical.com.ResponsibilitiesPosition summaryThe Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design, debugging and assembly of new production tooling and equipment according to the organizational standards.Essential Job Functions * Subject matter expert in the design, assembly and debugging of new production tooling and equipment * Optimize current production tooling and equipment. * Develop and implement equipment and tooling design and organization standards. * Estimate production costs, efficiencies, cost saving methods, and the effects of tooling/equipment design changes on cost and efficiency. * Document current installed tooling and equipment base * Support and comply with Spectralytics Quality System, ISO 13485 and when required medical device requirements. * Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs * Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements * Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work * Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance * Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve * Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly * Participate in required company meetings * Maintain an organized work area (5S) * Participate in the Operational Excellence Program * Complete all other work duties as assigned * Ability to work in a manufacturing environment * * * QualificationsMinimum Requirements, Education & Experience * 2-year Design related degree * Experience: 3 years * Working knowledge of mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks * CNC programming knowledge a plus * Able to work mechanically and troubleshoot equipment * * Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results * Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable * Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) * Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills * Attention to detail * Organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment * Ability to prioritize and multitaskDesirable Criteria & Qualifications * Supervisory experience * Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
