Overview: As a Mechanical Claims Adjuster, you will provide world-class customer service and adjudicate all claims-related information. Responsibilities: Acts as the service advisor for the approval of Vehicle Service Contract claims. Review claims and related documents for completeness. Analyze and review policy to determine coverage. Calculates the amount of claims using available resources for parts and labor accurately. Maintains the assigned dollar average per claim. Follows established guidelines in Wiki to get the parts needed for repair facilities. Makes clear and concise notes in the computer system. Verify the parts and labor prices are within established guidelines Approves and rejects claims, investigates as required, and provides first-call resolution. Initiates inspections based upon facts of the claims. Obtains approval for claims over a specified dollar amount. Complete claims by investigating the facts and reaching agreements with the insured, claimants, and their representatives up to specified authority. Provides claim information; including documenting claims transactions, preparing, and forwarding reports. Documents damage and loss by obtaining cost/prices and preparing estimates. Delivers outstanding service to our customers and fulfills the customer's needs in a claims call center environment. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED ASE or manufacturer certification is preferred but not required Must be computer literate and possess superior organizational skills Excellent customer service skills MUST be punctual with Excellent Attendance Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sound judgment and common sense application of the contract terms and conditions are essential for this position Must possess expertise in negotiation and motivation of others as well as have excellent interpersonal skills The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, wear a headset and required to look at a computer for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of the day as well.
