Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Grain - Destrehan LA Overview: The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of a grain export facility in Destrehan LA on a rotating shift basis. This will include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic industrial equipment in the facility.Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Essential Functions: Documented prior experience and/or training as a Millwright/Mechanic to include proficiency in the following areas: Must actively participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Policy Maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees Preventative maintenance Hand Tools Power Tools Measurement devices including calipers Welding and cutting using a torch Rigging and using cables & slings Some knowledge of sheet metal layout Assembly & installation of a bearing on a shaft Alignment of a coupling between two inputs Following written maintenance instructions Working knowledge of Laser Alignment, Ultrasonic and Lubrication. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned Skill/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred Technical or Trade School Certification preferred Prior experience as a Millwright / Mechanic Documented experience or training Good written and verbal communications skills Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.
