We are seeking a Materials Scientist who possesses enthusiasm for innovation, applied material science, environmental awareness, and the determination to elevate the companies packaging portfolio. As a member of a cross-functional project team, you'll join a collective ethos where each member plays a role in attaining a shared objective. The ideal Materials Scientist should possess expertise in R&D projects and the ability to derive meaningful insights from the results. They should demonstrate creativity in solving problems, exhibit strong passion, and have a capacity for innovative thinking that can motivate others. Materials Scientist Responsibilities Conduct material characterisation to establish connections between properties and performance. Devise, arrange, and implement experiments as a Materials Scientist, often with a high degree of autonomy. Engage in laboratory-based advancement of fibre-based materials. Assist ongoing program initiatives by performing characterisations and analyses, utilising standard methods like FTIR, thermal analysis, mechanical tests, and high-resolution imaging. Collaborate internally and foster open innovation with external partners. Participate in shaping the research program and offer suggestions to project leaders or fellow Materials Scientist.
