Closing Date: January 9, 2024 Reporting to the Maintenance General Supervisor, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for liaising between the Mobile Maintenance, Materials, and Warehousing groups to ensure optimising material flow to support efficient maintenance. The schedule for this role follows a 4X4 day shift. To be successful, we require someone with the ability to multitask, stay organized, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual would be self-motivated, have strong problem-solving skills, and is detail oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Validate the delivery status of all material scheduled and provide mitigating actions for issues Setup new parts and manage critical spares inventory requests Order special tools or equipment and coordinate part requirements with purchasing, planning, and execution Assist with material management of cores and parts returns, shipping requirements, and material issues Assist crews in sourcing part for break-in work orders Assist during continuous improvement initiatives and implement and develop standard methodologies Review and process warranty claims, coordinating with Teck Warranty Coordinator and vendors Qualifications: A journeyperson’s ticket or post-secondary degree in a related engineering or technical discipline Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite® and computer maintenance management software Experience with materials acquisition, planning and scheduling in a maintenance environment is an asset Benefits: Teck employees.
