Coastal Welding Supply-AWG Company,has an immediate opening for aMaterial Handler/Cylinder Maintenanceat our gas cylinder production/distribution facility in Beaumont, TX!In this position they perform product composition and quality sampling and testing. Routine inspection, calibration, and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meterDuties & Responsibilities * Inspect gas cylinders to detect surface defects and tests thickness of cylinder walls. * Safely move gas cylinders off pallets onto testing equipment. * Calibrate and adjust ultrasonic testing equipment to required standards and settings. * Review and interpret test results and documentation as it relates to local, state, and federal compliance and DOT regulations. * Record test results, cylinder serial number, and test date in a timely and accurate manner. * Stamp test date and label gas cylinders once ultrasonic testing is complete. * Ensure that defective cylinders or those requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected. * Inspect, maintain, and perform maintenance on ultrasonic testing equipment, as needed. * Operate computer equipment and value machine (if applicable) to conduct testing. * Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.Qualifications & Education Requirements * High School graduate or GED equivalent * Able to read and write English * Mechanically inclined * Technical skills * Computer skillsAmerican Welding & Gas, Inc.
