Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking Material Coordinators to support our SOF GLSS Program. This program is critical to the success of US servicemen and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its warfighters with the best possible systems and equipment.The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts,and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules ordepartment supervisors' priorities. In this job, the Material Coordinator reviews production schedules and confers withdepartment supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate the material, requisitions materialand establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availabilityof material; arranges for the in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisorsfor repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines the material deliveredto production departments to verify if type specified. This Worker may monitor and control the movement of material andparts along the conveyor system, using the remote-control panel board, compute the amount of material needed forspecific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine; compilereport of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, usinghand or industrial truck; may compile perpetual production records in order to locate the material in the process ofproduction, using manual or computerized the system, and maintain employee records. Basic Qualifications: Aviation and or Fabrication processesKnowledge of inventory control systemsCalibration Requirements Manufacturing Desired Skills: Asset management systems such as TCMAX, GOLD, SAPTooling used in the aviation and manufacturing industry Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
