EFCO is looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven individual for our Manufacturing Operations Specialist role in our systems department. This role would independently perform a variety of manufacturing operations assignments in maintaining and monitoring the performance of the production schedule. Analyze the performance of manufacturing assets, report findings, and provide recommendations for improving the utilization and efficiency of those assets. Demonstrate technical and business knowledge in plant performance metrics and financial cost accounting. Demonstrate a solid understanding of production operations and product / process interactions. Demonstrate operations management skills in material balances, formulation, capacity analysis, and costing. Works closely with engineering disciplines in the development and application of equipment to increase production, quality, efficiency, or volume. Duties: Maintains dynamic production schedules and manages the distribution of work order data. Expected to independently develop new scheduling processes and enhancements to the existing scheduling process. Communicates with Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Purchasing departments to prioritize the schedule as needed Conducts time studies of manufacturing processes to increase the percent of items with accurate pricing. Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Maintains standard work order data ensuring accurate information to production. Develops and recommends continuous improvement in production processes Determines accurate completion dates of standard and custom products. Communicates with Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Purchasing departments to ensure on time delivery Develops, monitors, and understands performance metrics across the manufacturing plant. Drives changes and improvements. Places emphasis on specific areas to increase productivity Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required including but not limited to providing support to Manufacturing Supervisors Requirements: College degree or equivalent experience in production operations management required. Management or manufacturing/distribution background helpful. Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations is essential. Experience in performing time studies and knowledge of work order systems, desired. Basic Microsoft Office and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems knowledge desired. American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification, a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, and time management skills required. Must work independently and effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, demonstrate integrity, and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to squat, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. No travel required . Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen. We participate in E-Verify. EOE
