Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Manufacturing Technician will provide technical expertise for product engineering and new product. Employees are expected to support Weinbrenner's core values through the completion of duties and responsibilities. In this specific role, some expectations include: Responsible for defining, documenting, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling manufacturing processes and standardization across WSC domestic operations; including subcontractors and sourcing when applicable. Works to maintain and improve production line efficiency, employee training methods, and documenting clear work instructions. Provide training to manufacturing staff and production operators such as assembly techniques, product requirements and purpose, and quality standards. Support the organization in the control of WIP and raw material on the production floor. Follow TPM guidelines and work with the supervisors and operators in the implementation and compliance of preventative maintenance requirements. Provide technical support on manufacturing requirements such as tooling, machines, manufacturing procedures, and materials. Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure on-time introduction of new footwear and modifications to existing products that meet customer and company expectations. Complies with and enforces WSC's QMS/ISO system. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Support role or an a ssociate degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering (or combination of education and experience). History working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with improving production line efficiency, operator training, and troubleshooting. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands. Willing to learn new skills to expand knowledge base. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to train others and clearly document technical processes and write technical reports. Ability to proactively identify potential problems and work with others to develop solutions; strong relationship-building and collaboration skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems. LEAN manufacturing, Quality Management System/ISO, Root-Cause Analysis, and Problem-Solving Methodology experience a plus. Clean driving record for 3 years.
