Manufacturing Operator I - full-time or part-time

We are looking to hire either one full-time person or two part-time people to fill this position. Hours for the part-time positions are as follows:M-Th 6:30am - 12:30pm (6hrs), F 6:30am - 10:45am (4.25hrs) = 28.25hrsM-Th 1:00pm - 6:00pm (5hrs), F 10:45am - 3:00pm (4.25hrs) = 24.25hrs Job Summary The Operator I is responsible for manufacturing bird seed in accordance with standard operating procedures established in the blending mill. They will be responsible for operating the bagging equipment. In addition to bird seed manufacturing, they will perform housekeeping activities, preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment, and quality checks on seed and ingredients and bin inventory. Essential Duties Operate bagging equipment to fill, weigh and sew seed bags Stack filled bags on pallets Deliver product from the bagging area to appropriate warehouse location Rotate current seed inventory Complete appropriate paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Collect samples in accordance with sampling plan Perform routine housekeeping in all areas of the mill Operate forklift Keep floors free from spills and debris Return tools to their proper storage place when finished with the tools Comply with all company policies Comply with all local, state and federal laws, and regulations Ability to lift 80 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material Additional Duties Bulk Bin entry Perform other duties as assigned Job Qualifications A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance preferred Ability to lift 80 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material Basic Computer Knowledge
