Job Summary: Are you someone who has a passion for how things work, designing solutions to mechanical challenges, and streamlining for efficiencies? CME is looking for a hands-on manufacturing engineer who can both design as well as implement solutions. We are looking for a problem-resolver who has mechanical and electrical experience to work with integrated systems on high-quality, economically competitive products that may include: cables/wire harnesses, machine tools, robots, power supplies, and test-equipment. Job Characteristics: Varied activities Multiple, simultaneous projects Fast-paced environment Technical, analytical focus Work within established standards and guidelines Expertise-based problem solving Authoritative, quick decision making within defined span of control Based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures Important to also train others to make correct decisions Communication is task based, technically oriented Team collaboration focused on specific tasks or problems Leadership based on specialty expertise Directive leadership to assure quality standards are met Delegation infrequently required, and when required, close follow-up is essential Ability to Multitask, Meeting cost, performance, and schedule requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works independently or with a team to resolve problems with common-sense or innovative solutions Ability to read, interpret specs, and create: drawings, part lists/BOMs Support assembly work and technical problem solving on manufacturing floor with assemblers Create & review bill of materials (BOMs); use of ERP systems; Deltek Costpoint Creates Documentation & Documents customer requirements, work instructions, systems specifications, and other documents called out assembly Participates in Design Reviews & Improvements to Product & Documentation for manufacturability. Plans and formulates cost & time-savings by improving processes, procedures, documentation, and eliminating waste in materials and human resource requirements. Recommends changes to management, including staff use, technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements to products and services. Prepare quotations, job estimations Minimum Requirements Needed: Bachelor degree in Engineering Electrical and/or Mechanical manufacturing experience in electronic systems, power supplies, and/or test equipment Completion of Predictive Index Assessments (behavior & cognitive), Reference, Credit, & Drug Testing Positions with CME require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.
