Today, Mid-State employees over 500 people serving the Phosphate, Chemical, Power, Citrus, Sand & Aggregate, and many other industries by offering turnkey solutions including field maintenance, fabrication, dragline repair, machining, pump repair, gearbox repair, and valve repair. Mid-State is equipped with industry experts, 200,000 square foot of shop space, and overhead crane capacity up to 35 tons allowing us to meet all of our clients' needs. http://www.midstateindustrialcorp.com Essential Duties & Requirements Include: Performing lathe and milling operations by utilizing medium to large machines These operations include but are not limited to: drilling, tapping, turning, boring, facing, and broaching Inspect parts prior to passing on to the Quality Department Inspection tools include but are not limited to: calipers, micrometers, and gauges Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and observe safety precautions Recognize and properly utilize inserts, fixtures, and various tooling Monitor and adjust the feed and speed of machines throughout the process Read and comprehend drawings and work orders Able to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment Able to work overtime as requested Minimum Qualifications: NIMS credentials preferred Manual machinist experience or education is preferred Must have attention to detail and great math skills Great attendance and punctuality Day shift or night shift positions may be available Specifics: Location- Lakeland, Fl Benefits Available Medical, dental & vision Insurance, 401K, vacation & holiday pay 0 Job Posted by ApplicantPro
