We are seeking a qualified and experienced Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the operational planning, coordination, supervision, and quality control of construction and maintenance activities related to transportation and storm water management infrastructure. As the Manager of Municipal Works Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of transportation and storm infrastructure projects and maintenance activities. Our ideal candidate Maintaining, coordinating, and scheduling field operations, including construction and infrastructure maintenance. Administering tendering and contract management for operations activities. Preparing, administering, monitoring, and reporting on operations budgets. Providing leadership to the Municipal Works surface operations staff. Managing the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and calibration of operational equipment and vehicles. Ensuring project management and contract administration of capital projects and related infrastructure. Responding to, reviewing, and resolving public concerns. Initiating research of technical and business opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. Maintaining financial, operational, asset, and personnel records and reports. Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Representing the Department on committees and associations as required. Excellent strategic business planning, execution, and management skills. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
