Manager of Crisis Care POSITION SUMMARY This is an opportunity to join our growing Behavioral Health Services department to manage the Mobile Crisis Response Services team. The Manager of Crisis Care is responsible for the overall management of the Crisis Care Program, including clinical, administrative, and budget oversight. The Manager of Crisis Care will be responsible for the success of the program and ensuring all State, including Medicaid requirements, are met. As a member of the Leadership Team, assists with the development of the program budgets, organizational policy, and other administrative initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for hiring of Mobile Crisis Response Team and Supervisor to include: interview, select, and training program staff. Monitors employee performance and completes monthly and annual evaluations for Crisis Care Supervisor. Works to resolve any performance issues or concerns. Implement best practices and Evidence-Based Practices for suicide prevention and crisis services. Assist with departmental strategic planning and collaborate in intradepartmental needs related to suicide prevention. Assist with after-hours crisis collaboration, including after-hours consultation. Coordinate with other organizations that make up the crisis continuum of care to include hospitals, police, fire 911, and the CARES line and/or 988 Regional Crisis Call hubs. Serve as The Center's liaison to the Illinois Department of Human Services crisis care learning community. Oversees recordkeeping and reporting processes to ensure that the flow of written communication is current and effective. Assures that the program metrics and requirements are fulfilled and are up to date on all State reporting requirements. Responsible for all program reviews and the success of the program's key performance indicators. Ensure the clinical needs of clients are met and help assure program staff has a variety of clinical skills and applicable treatment modalities necessary. Continuously monitors the clinical needs of current clients and develops innovative approaches to meeting those needs. Adheres to and follows all other required duties necessary and assigned by direct supervisor. SKILLS and ABILITIES Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skills in making public presentations and in conducting formal training internally and externally. Understanding suicide prevention theories and practices is preferable Interpersonal skills to work with the staff of all departments, leadership, and community organizations Suicide prevention EBPs trained are preferred EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Required: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program or in a related human service field. Required: Currently holds IL license of Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Experience in Crisis Intervention is required, preferably Mobile Crisis Response. Supervisory experience required Possess the experience, personal qualities, and practice skills to work effectively with professionals from a variety of disciplines, both internally and with other organizations. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Possess and maintain automobile insurance. CARE & TCI One of the essential job functions of any position within the agency is to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. All decisions, actions, communication, and performance should align with the six CARE principles (Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship-Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma-Informed). Not only must you complete the CARE training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work. Every employee must also pass TCI training with a satisfactory grade in written and/or physical testing. All employees must remain current on refresher training that is provided monthly at all locations. You will be tested every 6 months on the physical portion, if applicable to your position. You will be tested annually on the written portion, regardless of your position. If you are not current on your TCI refresher training every six months, you will be required to retake the full course. If you do not pass either test, you may be required to retake the full course.
