Position Summary: The Manager of Council Initiatives is responsible for overseeing department initiatives to girls within the council jurisdiction. S/he supports the council's goals and objectives, including goals of recruitment and retention of girls and adults. The Manager of Council Initiatives will incorporate all current GSUSA initiatives and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) into the design of all programs. She/he will develop and implement project plans and maintains relationships with volunteers and community partners. Position Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years program management and implementation. Minimum of three (3) years supervision and staff management experience Demonstrated skills in creative thinking, problem solving and innovation. Demonstrated skills in administration, grant writing, budgeting, and teamwork. Proven track record in developing relationships with staff, volunteers, and community organizations. Ability to effectively collaborate with other departments to meet mutual goals. Ability to work effectively with persons of every age, sex, racial ethnic, religious, income and geographic group, educational level, and personality type. Essential Requirements : This position requires registration as a member of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., either previously or upon employment. Bachelor's degree with concentration in related field or equivalent experience Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional computer programs Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend hours Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to an automobile during normal working hours Salary Range: $55,000 - $61,000
