Description Manager Health Information, Scanning This is a full-time, exempt/salaried position on UCHealth's Health Information Management (HIM) team. Manages Scanning and Project Activations/Onboarding as it pertains to scanning workflows. This is a 100% on-site position based in Aurora CO. Travel among all Colorado UCHealth facilities will be required to meet with staff and respective leaders. Responsibilities: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll. May monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Implements system wide procedures for secure disposal/shredding of paper/documents containing PHI. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for record retention and storage inquires. Supports special projects and business analysis as requested. Travels to different regions/locations as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree Valid driver's license 5 years related experience Preferred: Completion of college courses in Health Information Management, Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Medical records warehouse experience. Supervisory/leadership experience in HIM The pay range for this position is: $35.74 - $57.19 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
