Manager, Digital IT : Front End Engineering

Job purpose As Manager of Front:End Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Beacon's web platforms and mobile apps. You will partner with product owners, digital solutions managers, and platform engineering team members to build features and capabilities delivering a friction:less customer experience driving digital adoption. Duties and responsibilities :Own the technical architecture, design, implementation and on:going support for Web CMS, micro front:end and mobile applications:Oversee and manage a team of lead/senior UI and mobile app developers along with third:party software development partners supporting front end and mobile application development:Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support highly scalable and robust digital solutions servicing our B2B customer base:Collaborate with digital product owners, UX team, e:commerce operations team, and Digital/Marketing leadership to identify customer journey optimization opportunities and facilitate successful and timely implementation/delivery:Partner with IT, Digital and Marketing leadership team to craft digital roadmaps, review project complexity and perform effort and quality analysis to provide accurate launch timelines:Identify and build ingenious and innovative solutions for our customers and business stakeholders with emphasis on bringing efficiency through automation:Manage and maintain front end CI/CD pipelines, SCM process, and Mobile App store accounts :Hire and Mentor front end engineers/developers guiding them to become future technology leaders Qualifications :7+ years of experience building UI experiences and mobile applications for B2B or B2C/D2C platforms :3+ years of experience as team lead or manager of web/mobile development teams:Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience:Extensive knowledge and hands on experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue:Strong understanding of Hybrid Mobile App frameworks like React Native, Ionic, Flutter:Hands on experience with deploying, serving and managing front end applications in the cloud preferably GCP:Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript:Experience with responsive design, mobile:first development, and cross:browser compatibility :Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less:Extensive experience with front end caching strategies leveraging CDNs such as Google Cloud CDN, CloudFront or Akamai:Deep understanding of SCM with hands on knowledge of Git preferably GitLab or Github:Experience with setting up and/or maintaining CI/CD pipelines:Experience with supporting and managing developers within and across Agile teams:Experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred:Professional written and verbal communication skills Working conditions :This position is a remote role. Travel to corporate office, branches, conference and/or meeting site may be required on a periodic basis Physical requirements :Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard:Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
