A leading midsize accounting and advisory firm is looking for an experienced, motivated, and client-driven individual to join our growing Audit & Accounting Services group in Vancouver as a Manager. This individual will play a key role in the Private Company Group. Your primary responsibilities will include: Manage client engagements by providing assurance and consulting services to private clients Work under tight deadlines, deliver quality work, anticipate and resolve client issues in a timely manner Act as a communication conduit between partners and clients Work as a crucial link between partners and junior staff Generate new business opportunities by promoting the firm’s expertise and services, as well as developing ideas and solutions Manage staff in the A&A Group, providing daily guidance and coaching, developing their knowledge Comply with all confidentiality policies of the firm and applicable regulatory authorities A successful candidate will have: Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) At least 1-2 years of management experience at a progressive public accounting firm, with significant emphasis on private company clients, from start-up to mature Thorough ASPE knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, regulations and corporate governance requirements The ability to provide value-added service to our clients Strong understanding of a client-focused environment, including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Advanced computer knowledge including Caseware, Taxprep or Profile and Excel Powered by Jazz HR.
