Responsibilities: Support accounting in interpreting and applying relevant accounting rules and guidance for Corporate Development initiatives including accounting research, presentation of findings, and documentation for acquisitions, dispositions, and contractsManage the Company's consolidation process, which includes exposure to accounting, finance, and risk teams across the enterpriseProvide periodic assistance with Card, Auto, Retail, and Commercial lines of businessBuild relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitmentsDevelop project plans, track completion, and communicate status to stakeholders on multiple workflows with competing prioritiesPartner cross-functionally with customers as a subject matter expert, responding to ad-hoc requestsSupport compliance activitiesThe ideal candidate contains a proficiency in technical accounting with a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of applicable accounting guidance and regulations, and possessesstrong written and oral communication skills. A limited amount of travel to various Capital One corporatelocations may occur.
