As a member of the management team at one of our facilities, you are a role model when it comes to safety. In both your attitude and the way the facility is run, our staff looks to you for guidance. Therefore, it is important that you abide by the highest safety standard in everything you do. It is important that while you establish an open communication line with employees you handle all conversation professionally and fairly. A great way to make yourself available to the guards is to make yourself visible and accessible. While we understand managers have many duties throughout the day, they should never be holed up in the office or pump room. By walking the deck and/or completing stand audits on the guards, you make yourself visible, ensure that the staff is doing their job and make yourself available. Having clear communication throughout the summer on all levels is vital in producing a successful summer. Professionalism . As a manager, you should consistently be the epitome of professionalism in both appearance and attitude. Just as our staff, you are required to be in full uniform at all times. Being a manager, it is one of your responsibilities to make sure the facility is not only picked up but clean . This will entail: Checking chemicals at least every 2 hours Picking up trash off deck & emptying trash cans. Washing trash cans & deck furniture Thorough cleaning of bathrooms daily as well as constant spot cleanings Backwashing, vacuuming & cleaning the hair/lint pot Power-washing the deck Keeping guard office & storage areas organized For several of the above tasks, it is important that the necessary supplies are on hand.
