You’ll run routine inspections and maintenance and create preventative measures to keep our equipment running smoothly as long as possible and minimize any risk. Responsibilities:• Make records of repairs and equipment services• Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks• Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs• Manage other maintenance requests as required• Plan and execute PM on all machines• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment• Must always use proper lock-out-tag-out procedures when performing repairs, tests, or installations• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment in adherence to all safety protocols and procedures• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment• Adhere to all PPE and GMP requirements• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment• Organize repair and routine maintenance of production equipment Qualifications: • Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends• Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures• 2+ years of maintenance experience• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail• Must have graduated from high school/received GED or equivalent• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment• Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques, and procedures• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends• Requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications• Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systems• Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals• Must have the ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed Compensation: $23 - $28 hourly + $2 shift premium About Company: American Berry Company was founded by Willie Traina of Traina Foods and John Potter of Innovative Sales, Inc. in 2020.
