*Position Summary The core focus of this position is the common area and residential maintenance at several manufactured home communities in our north Orange County portfolio. Duties assigned daily directly by the Community Managers at properties located in Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster. *Company Overview Founded in 1958, Star's Mission Statement is: We provide superior service to manufactured home communities, maximizing value of the properties that we are entrusted to serve. With communities throughout California, Colorado, Idaho and Nevada, we provide value in housing and integrity in service. *Company Core Values Transparency Inspired Disciplined Accountable Results Oriented *Performance Objectives Common area maintenance Minor electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches and outlets, etc. Minor painting Minor plumbing repairs such as replacing fittings and faucets, clearing drain stoppages, etc. General maintenance such as replacing screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds and locks, as well as maintaining and cleaning of the properties. Troubleshooting of utility system outages and problems Working with water and gas meter shut-offs Replacing utility meters, per mandated schedule Maintaining accurate records of work performed *Key Competencies Be customer-service oriented; Possess a good work ethic and uphold the company values; Be able to work with minimal supervision; Be able to resolve challenges logically and know when to refer more complex issues to a higher level manager since duties and tasks are frequently non-routine; Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance; Be punctual, neat and efficient; Read, write and speak English fluently Own basic tools and truck to use at work *Physical Requirements Have the ability to bend, stoop, walk, climb ladders for 90% of a typical working day Have the ability to bend, lift and reach boxes and maintenance supplies of 30 pounds or more Have the ability to safely use tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and saws Have the ability to log maintenance records in a computer or app *Experience requirements Have two years minimum of recent experience in property management, apartment/residential maintenance - Mobile Home Park experience is a plus; Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent – minimum Have basic use skills of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Possess a valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance – required *Compensation/Position Details Full-time, 40 hours per week $22 - $26/hour, DOE Job requires traveling and performing job duties at separate properties located in the Huntington Beach, Stanton, and Westminster areas on a daily basis *What we offer Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid Vacation, accrual starts immediately Paid Holidays Location: Huntington Beach/Westminster areas If this position caught your eye, apply online now.
