Your responsibilities Job Summary Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform various facilities maintenance activities. Job Description Key Accountabilities: Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs on all equipment Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all equipment Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required Assist in any duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude 3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment Formal degree or certificate in a technical area or related field required Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Little or no supervisor assistance is required Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker Job Compensation $29.94 - $40.51 Benefits Overview We offer competitive Company benefits such as: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Life Insurance and Disability Voluntary Wellness Programs 401(k) and RRSP programs with Company Match Paid Vacation and Holidays Tuition Reimbursement And more!
