JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment. Make preventative maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, report to shift supervisor, and take appropriate action. Oil and grease equipment. Examine defects and analyze spoilage causes. Analyze mechanical and operational problems, make necessary corrections and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Change equipment to new sizes, verifying after change over. Test equipment to verify correct operation and production of quality products. QUALIFICATIONS - EXTERNAL Education High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant Work Experience 1 year of experience with a forklift, conveyor and general equipment repair and maintenance. Additional Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment. Basic skill level in Microsoft Excel. Willing to travel at least/up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications Education Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent. Certification / Licensure Graduate of an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification. Additional At least 3 years of experience in a building maintenance position servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet. Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position. Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head. Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck). Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers Read information, often in small print (drawings) Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards Ability to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed BenefitsMedline is committed to offering competitive benefits and a variety of choices to best meet the needs of you and your family.
