Position Summary: Assists and performs activities engaged in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in the repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment. Assists in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery Repairs and replaces defective parts and components. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts and components. Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance from work orders, repairs, PM program, etc. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to company procedures. Maintains inventory on supplies and spare parts. Set up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. Drives company automobile to pick up supplies and parts need for manufacturing Other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas Technical Skills: Knowledge of basic computer systems. Physical Requirements: Able to lift 70 lbs. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time Work Conditions: Heavy manufacturing Able to work long hours in hot conditions during spring and summer. Able to work in cold conditions during fall and winter.
