Maintenance Technician- 1st Shift

Description:
Position Purpose:Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of presses, conveyors, and other associated equipment.Hourly pay range: $26.15 - $36.54Essential Functions: * Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on all production equipment. * Reads and interprets equipment prints/manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance repairs and service. * Performs all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment. * Performs all lubrication and filtration duties on all equipment assigned. * Performs project maintenance as assigned. * Communicates at all levels within the company - Department Manager, Supervisors and Operators as well as with all members of the maintenance department.Education and Training * High School Diploma or GED and related technical training. * Minimum of five (5) years On the Job maintenance training and experience in a factory equipment environment.Minimum Qualifications * Possess experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical applications. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and work orders. * Must be able to use measuring equipment, welders and have own hand tools. * Possess good verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work well with others and work independently. * Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job. * Heavy press equipment experience is a plus. Physical Demands * Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, crouch and bend. * Frequently required to bend and maneuver in tight spaces. * Frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds. * Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. * Ability to climb ladders to perform various tasks. * Good eye / hand coordination and good motor skills. * Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer.Environmental Conditions * Exposure to a noisy work environment. * Exposure to hot and humid conditions. * Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water. * Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas. * Steel toe boots are required at all times.Additional Information * Requisition ID: 2400001S
