Agency Info: About Logansport State Hospital:Logansport State Hospital is a state:operated inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults with mental illness. Using an interdisciplinary approach and evidence:based programming, we promote recovery and return of the individual to the community. Salary Info: Salary: This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of 34,216. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: :Diagnose and repair various maintenance issues. :Maintain service and maintenance records. :Purchase required parts, tools, and supplies according to State policy. :Repair buildings and structures. :Assist with snow removal. What Youll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment: :Working knowledge of various trades including masonry, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. :Working knowledge of radio communications and procedures. :Working knowledge of appropriate safety precautions needed for a variety of repairs. :Ability to use a variety of automotive, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tools for routine maintenance and repair. :Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of records.:Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. :Ability to work independently and provide self:motivation. :Ability to read and follow guidelines and blueprints to complete construction projects. :Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
