Position Details: Title: Maintenance & Repair Specialist II Location: Baltimore, MD Shift: Mon - Fri 8a-430p Travel: Local travel multiple times per week to repair depots and terminals in the Baltimore area. This candidate will work between 3 container yard locations and 2 rail ramps in the Columbus market. Compensation: $60-65k/yr Bonuses/Additional Compensation: 10% target bonus, $5k sign-on bonus (split between first check and at 6 month mark) Benefits: Medical and dental, 401(k) w/6% match, company truck, PTO, paid holidays, and much more! Position Description: Inspect chassis and write work orders at specified facilities Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis for same locations Monitor and control OOS equipment levels to include Repair Estimate Approval and Repair Limit Compliance Update chassis OOS status and notes as needed in M&R System Conduct daily visits to specified local CYs to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed, and that Company Policies are enforced. Provide detailed written reports of any problems to the CY Manager. Assist locations in continuously investigating ways and means to reduce overall M&R costs while ensuring service levels are not compromised Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of company-owned parts Respond to all correspondence ASAP, no later than one working day Review work order input in M&R system on a daily basis and transmit work orders daily Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors Perform monthly safety review Conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations Track and order license plates for chassis Coordinate off-hire and scrap chassis programs Requirements: 5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience. Specific trailer and chassis experience is preferred but not required. Extensive training is available. Ability to effectively communicate company policy and procedures. Ability to identify problems and seek solutions. Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirements. Interface credibly with vendors and terminal personnel. Must pass a background check, drug screening, and have a clean driving record
