Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for supporting manufacturing by maintaining equipment and carrying out planned preventative maintenance as per schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Complying with Company Environmental, Health and Safety procedures: Completion of Planned preventative maintenance tasks. Maintenance / repair of equipment in breakdown situations: Ensuring the highest levels of housekeeping and cleanliness whilst working: Liaising across all areas of the organization to achieve production priorities Skills: Strong Mechanical Engineering background: Problem solving and fault finding expertise: Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic controls would be an advantage: Basic level of PLC Programming: Some knowledge and experience of Robots would be an advantage: Electrical experience would be an obvious advantage but not necessary: General operating knowledge of health and safety: Experience in welding would be an advantage: Understanding of permit to work systems: Experience in Machining / Miling / turning would be an advantage Personal Skills: Full: time served apprenticeship: Essential qualifications : BTEC National or City and Guilds and HNC. : Multi: skilled with at least 5 years' experience in a busy manufacturing environment: Self: motivated and proactive.
