JOB SUMMARY The primary function of this role is to troubleshoot, monitor, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the Sun Gro Horticulture Elma production facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining the form and texture of parts. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Responsible for monitoring, scheduling, and documenting all oil changes and other maintenance that is required on a regular basis by the manufacturer of the equipment Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machine and equipment. Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary. Record repairs and maintenance performed. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: Proven experience working.
