Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Description:
The basic purpose of this role is: Service, maintain, and repair all production equipment and building maintenanceJob Duties Repair and maintain packaging equipment and high speed PLC controlled equipment Repair and maintain processing and material handling equipment Carry out requirements of Preventative Maintenance programs Perform facility repairs as required Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and complies with applicable industry standards Assist in training to improve line efficiency Must successfully complete work orders for associated work centers and applicable standard operating procedures Responsible to report food safety problems and/or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions. Other duties as assigned Capabilities Strong communication, written and verbal skills Electronic, mathematical, and analytical aptitude Willing to learn and develop Manufacturing Best Practices Able to work flexible hours (overtime and periodic weekends required) Ability to handle conflicts and provide resolutions Understands right first time quality Shows initiative, takes directions and executes plans efficiently Must possess technical aptitude Some computer experience preferred Demonstrate safe work habits and excellent work ethics Accuracy and detail oriented Work well independently and as a team member Knowledge of SOPs Must successfully complete training Requirements Minimum Grade 12 graduate Knowledge of Health Safety & Environment, SQF Quality and Food Safety Previous experience in repair and overhaul, troubleshooting of processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment Successful completion of training and qualification Pass a mechanical aptitude test 3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6:30am Monday - Friday Job Posted by ApplicantPro
