This is an entry level position. We are looking for candidates who have 6 months to 2 years of maintenance experience, who are willing to come in at an entry level. In this position you will be trained on various types of maintenance work and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess minimal maintenance and mechanical skills. Any electrical, welding or troubleshooting experience will be a plus. You must also be willing to train/learn new skills in order to assist in maintaining our facility and the equipment / machinery used in our facility. Summary: Supports production staff by installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishment. Duties and Responsibilities: Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment Trouble shoots machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine Dismantles defective machines an equipment to install new or repaired parts Performs preventative maintenance on shafts, bearings, gears, knife blades, and other parts of machinery Installs and repairs minor electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs/replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment Maintains physical structure of establishment through repair or coordination of repair through sub-contractors Supports operation of machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine by repair of machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Trouble shoot and complete repair of welders, hoists, and cranes while coordinating major repairs of equipment
