Job description Maintenance Assistant - AM Shift - Full Time Lasata Senior Living Campus The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment at Lasata Senior Living Campus in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with our established policies and procedures; and as directed by your supervisor. The Maintenance Assistant provides support and services to the three buildings on campus: the Care Center, the Heights, and the Crossings. This includes: routine maintenance, inspection of systems; maintaining documentation; ability to react calmly in any emergency situation. There is daily interaction with residents and tenants to address concerns in their living spaces or during activities. This position requires weekend and holiday shift along with occasional evening work. Maintain heating, cooling, plumbing, security and electrical systems. Exterior maintenance including snow removal and lawn care. Interior maintenance including floors, doors, lights, paint, etc. Maintain and repair equipment such as beds, whirlpool tubs, patient lifts, wheelchairs, etc. Completes tasks associated with preventative maintenance programs including weekly door checks, weekly generator tests, monthly fire drills, routine equipment inspections, and monthly audits for safety of bedroom equipment. Runs monthly fire drills; leads orientation of new employees to Fire/Tornado safety procedures Attend all mandatory in-services relating to safety, infection control, resident rights, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS : Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Experience Requirements: Basic general maintenance knowledge, HVAC and custodial experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understand and follow directions. Read, write and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to operate mechanical equipment (tractors, mowers) and tools to perform the required tasks. Ability to do and maintain floor care.
