Our 2nd Shift Machine Operators START at $19.00/hr 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am Who are We? Lantech is widely recognized as the world leader in stretch wrapping technology. We also are industry leaders in robust and efficient case and tray handling equipment. Today, Lantech equipment is found worldwide, with technical support in multiple languages. Why You Matter: Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do: As a Machine Operator (Conveyor Rollers) at Lantech, you will: Run a horizontal band saw cutting tubing and hex shaft to specific length. Use a bearing press to install bearings into conveyor roller tubing. Use deburring machine to clean up tubing ends. Operate a rotational welding machine which welds sprockets to conveyor rollers. Read a tape measure. Read blueprints and follow standardized work to ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are met. Stand 9-10 hours per day. Lift loads up to 50 lbs. What are We Looking For? (Requirements) We are looking for someone who: Is able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Is focused on work with a high commitment to achieving quality and scheduling goals Is comfortable working in an isolated work space. Is a self-directed individual with good interaction skills Is able to self-identify problems and support problem solving / solutions Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety and able to work effectively within the fast-paced environment. Has the ability to stay focused and on task Has sustained record of good attendance. Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapting to a varied work environment. Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers. Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines. Is customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule. Is legally authorized to work in the U.S. Education & Experience: Previous machining experience strongly preferred. Previous experience reading blue prints strongly preferred. Previous maintenance experience is a plus. Some knowledge of automation is a plus. Some welding experience is a plus. Some pneumatics experience is a plus.
