We are looking for qualified hospitality professionals like yourself to help us continue to grow and add new stores in the Asheville area! We are seeking a skilled bartender to join our team at an established BBQ restaurant. As a bartender, you will be an essential part of our front-of-house staff, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service to our guests.As a leader in the company you are responsible for maintaining the written cultural expectations of Luella’s and reinforcing this culture through example, and a personality of positive energy and fun every day. Join our team and be a part of delivering authentic Southern hospitality at its finest RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains business appearance in an exemplary fashion Maintains a culture of constant ongoing training and continuous improvement Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including classic and specialty cocktails, beer, and wine Maintain a deep knowledge of our beverage menu, including information about North Carolina craft beers and spirits Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization behind the bar Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently Monitor bar inventory, alerting management as needed Adhere to all relevant food safety and alcohol service regulations QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following: Must be at least 21 years of age Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails and a willingness to learn about North Carolina BBQ and beverage pairings Excellent communication skills, collaborative skills, and attention to detail Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence Personable, friendly, positive, helpful, respectful; natural talent for hospitality A strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and move with purpose Ability to work effectively in a team environment and remain composed under pressure Understanding of North Carolina alcohol laws and regulations Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday BENEFITS Excellent pay depending on experience Attractive teamshare bonus compensation Best in class health, dental, vision, accident and disability benefits, Luella’s contributes 60% of your individual premiums (available benefits are dependents on full-time or part time work) Employer funded continuing education programs Tuition Allowance towards hospitality management or culinary arts degree programs Career advancement opportunities Free access to Employee Assistance Program Employee dine-in discount for you and up to three friends Free shift meals PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear The employee is required to be on foot for a large portion of the day/shift. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects including tables and cases of food and beverage; must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds overhead May be required to drive company vehicles Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention in a fast-paced environment WORKING CONDITIONS Kitchen environment, including hot areas, hot tools, hot plates, sharp knives and tools Outdoor off site catering venues and environments with fluctuating temperatures and/or conditions Office environment Flexible schedule can vary from week to week; work required on weekends and holidays as needed We are looking for Part-Time or Full-Time Bartenders
