Summary We are looking for a long-term substitute in a Primary classroom at our Gordon Ave location. Hours are M-F, 8-3 This position would start as soon as possible and likely lead to a permanent position in the summer or next school year. You'll work directly with trained Montessori teachers and other seasoned staff to create a loving, respectful and joyous environment for children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. Duties Supporting Montessori Philosophy and children's social-emotional development, maintaining clean and orderly classroom spaces with the help of the children, ensuring safe supervision of children, and amplifying respect and joy in our community. Requirements The ability to be reliable, consistent and flexible, a love and understanding of children, high school diploma (early childhood certification or equivalent preferred) and experience working with young children, the ability to easily get up and down off the the floor/get down to children's level, as well as lift up to 30lbs.
