Serrano Country Club has a part-time position open for a friendly, self-starting individual in our beautiful men's and women's locker room/shoe room. Job includes personal services such as shining shoes, providing food and beverage service, issuing lockers, keys, towels, maintaining inventory of supplies, doing laundry, and light maintenance of the locker room. This is a temporary position. Must be able to work 8:00AM - 4:30PM Saturdays and Sundays beginning in May and working through July 2023. Complimentary meal and golf privileges. Job Description Job Title: Locker Room Attendant Department: Club House Operations Reports To: Locker Room Supervisor FSLA Status: Non-exempt Prepared By: Human Resources Prepared Date: January 01, 2022 Approved By: General Manager and Director of Golf Approved Date: January 01, 2022 SUMMARY Attends to locker room needs of Club members and guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, whether or not included in this job description, at any time, by the Locker Room Supervisor, Director of Golf and/or designee. Supports the goals and objectives of the Company and in accordance with the Company's commitment to Total Customer Satisfaction, must have professional, service oriented attitude at all times. Follows safe work practices at all times. Must adhere to schedule, report to work on time, well groomed and wearing a clean uniform. Performs personal services such as shine shoes, replace golf shoe spikes, etc.; takes and delivers phone messages for members and guests. Provides Food & Beverage with service requests. Issues lockers, keys, towels, etc., to members and guests as needed; maintains list of occupied lockers; supplies a billing list to the accounting office. Produce name tags for lockers. Maintain locker rooms, restrooms, shower and steam rooms to Club standards; performs cleaning tasks such as mopping dressing room floors; collects, washes and folds soiled linen. Maintains inventory of supplies and restocks supplies as necessary. Report all billable charges to accounting, i.e. spike changes, locker fees, shoeshines, replacement keys, etc.; collects fees from guests for spike charges. Cleans and empties garbage cans and baskets. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; One year of customer service experience. Language/Interpersonal Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, guests, or employees of the organization. Must be able to speak in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities. The employee must be able to interact and communicate with all types of individuals and deal with difficult people and situations. Must have an outgoing personality; Possess excellent interpersonal, customer service and teamwork skills, maintain positive working relationships, promotes a cooperative, courteous, friendly, accommodating and respectful attitude towards members, guests, and colleagues. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with and solve problems involving several variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Valid California driver's license. The employee must be able to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to transport oneself throughout the project site including but not limited to the golf course, pro shop, restaurant/lounge, and other community areas. The work environment is occasionally fast paced. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position requires working indoors in a controlled climate and with fluorescent lighting. Must be able to work in a well-lighted temperature controlled area sufficient in size to allow freedom of movement to accomplish tasks.
